So, I'm applying to the Peace Corps, much to the surprise of those around me. Some people have been/are supportive (mostly my family and friends who are PCVs), but most are not. I've been getting the standard questions that I think all people who decide to apply get - like "why do you want to live in a mud hut without running water/electricity?!," that type of stuff. I'll probably post a pros/cons list at some point.
I submitted my Application and Health Status Review on September 25, 2011. The recruiter from UF (Amy - who is super sweet) doesn't come back from out of town until October 5, so hopefully soon after that I'll get an interview.
I found this while reading the 23,048,729,874 PCV blogs on the internet...it's very cute. I love the dancing kids.
